Danny Simmons is a visual artist and poet. He is Co Founder of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation and Co Founder of the award winning series Def Poetry. He currently heads Rush Arts Philadelphia and has a forth coming poetry CD on Blue Note records with Jazz Icon Ron Carter. He lives in Philadelphia.
