Photographer – film maker Sid Limitz has been covering the waterfront for over forty years,
from the wrestling matches at the Boston Garden to the red carpet of the Hollywood Christmas Parade. Limitz is influenced by the classic street photography of the forties, fifties and sixties, “Part Wegee/part Robert Frank” with a little bit of Bob Fosse thrown in is how the soft core paparazzo describes himself.
His razzle-dazzled Images are in the collections of the Boston Public Library, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and many private collectors on both coasts who enjoy owning his work
He has exhibited at the ICA, Photographic Resource Center, 88 Room (2 solo shows) and many group shows at the legendary Punkt Data. Limitz graduated from Mass Art in 1980. Find him on Instagram and elsewhere.
