Dana DeGiulio

Dana DeGiulio, 41, teaches painting in New York. Her book Nefertiti for the Blind was released by Attendant in February 2019.

DeGiulio paints flowers perceptually – her process is to purchase flowers and bring them to her studio where she paints one a day as they wither. The challenge is to render the same thing every day as it changes. She has been creating these paintings over the last five years or more.
