DeGiulio paints flowers perceptually – her process is to purchase flowers and bring them to her studio where she paints one a day as they wither. The challenge is to render the same thing every day as it changes. She has been creating these paintings over the last five years or more. DeGiulio says she takes interest in every day weighing the same. This project is one way for her to track that.
