Robert Taplin is a sculptor working in New Haven, Ct., who has exhibited throughout the U.S. He has executed public commissions for the MTA Art in Transit and the state of Connecticut Percent for Art program.
He has received numerous grants and awards, most notably from the NEA and the Guggenheim Foundation. He has also written extensively on sculpture for Art in America. He has taught in several graduate and undergraduate programs most recently at RISD.
