I really enjoyed listening to Robert talk about his current exhibition “The Picturesque Survival of Other Days”. I saw his 2019 show at Anita Roger’s Gallery & was drawn to his compositions and palette. I would stare at his works for long stretches of time. His story about losing his Father and moving resonates with my own loss of my 100 year old father in 2021 during Covid. His explanation of how he develops work with metal leaf is such an organic approach of incorporating a reflective material into the oil. And hearing about the process of delving into paper vs.linen. Thank you for this opportunity to hear from Robert. I’ll never forget how amazing it was to walk into Anita Rogers’s gallery & see his work for the first time in person vs. online. Exquisite.
