Heather Nicol is interviewed by Kristen Fahrig. Nicol a Toronto based artist and curator. Her installations and independent curatorial projects share an interest in site conditions, and have explored locations such as Santiago Calatrava’s soaring atrium at Brookfield Place, the Great Hall of Union Station, a decommissioned pubic school, and vacant sweatshop (all in Toronto). Outside of Canada, her installations have been seen (or heard) in an abandoned rail terminus (Buffalo, NY), a historic chateaux (France), The Brooklyn Academy of Music, a three-story carriage house (Hudson, NY) among others.
