Gibson moved to New York in 1998 to work for\u00a0<em>Artforum<\/em> magazine, where he has been the managing editor since 2004. Since arriving in New York, he has exhibited on the Panasonic Astrovision screen in Times Square as part of Creative Time\u2019s \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/creativetime.org\/programs\/archive\/59\/index.html\">59th Minute<\/a>\u201d program and mounted solo shows at the New York Academy of Sciences, Stephan Stoyanov, and Theodore. In 2011, two of the artist\u2019s videos were projected onto the facade of the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York, as part of a curated series presented by Light Work and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lightwork.org\/archive\/jeff-gibson\/\">Urban Video Project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His video\u00a0<em>Metapoetaestheticism<\/em>\u00a0was exhibited in the <a href=\"https:\/\/whitney.org\/exhibitions\/2014-biennial\/jeff-gibson\">2014 Whitney Biennial<\/a>. In 2016, Gibson produced a billboard, titled\u00a0<em>Armagarden<\/em>, for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.i70signshow.org\/artist-archive\/jeff-gibson\">I-70 Sign Show<\/a>, a curated program of artworks occupying advertising sites on the Missouri interstate. Gibson\u2019s work was also included in the \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/2018.frontart.org\/artists\/jeff-gibson\/\">Digital Infinity<\/a>\u201d section of the 2018 Front International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art. And in June of this year, the Griffith University Art Museum in Brisbane, Australia, staged a survey show of Gibson\u2019s art, titled \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.griffith.edu.au\/art-museum\/whats-on\/2022\/jeff-gibson-countertypes\">Countertypes<\/a>,\u201d featuring a selection of works spanning 1980 to the present.<\/p>\n<figure
