She is currently the Lead Curator for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nzatvenice.com\/\"><em>Post hoc<\/em> by Dane Mitchell<\/a>, New Zealand\u2019s pavilion at the 58<sup>th<\/sup> Venice Biennale.<\/p>\n<p>Currently Curatorial Manager, Asian and Pacific Art at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qagoma.qld.gov.au\/\">Queensland Art Gallery|Gallery of Modern Art<\/a> (QAGOMA), Stanhope is the lead curator on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qagoma.qld.gov.au\/about\/our-story\/apt\">10th Asia Pacific Triennial<\/a> (APT) for 2021 and led the 9th Asia Pacific Triennial in 2018. Other recently curated exhibitions and collaborations include Dane Mitchell\u2019s <em>Iris, Iris, Iris<\/em> (Mori Art Museum, Tokyo and Auckland Art Gallery Toi o T\u0101maki, New Zealand, 2017\u201318, co-curator Mami Kataoka); <em>Ann Shelton: Dark Matter<\/em> (Auckland Art Gallery 2016\u201317); <em>Out of Office<\/em>, Public Share collective, RMIT Project Space, Melbourne 2017);<em> Space to Dream: Recent Art from South America <\/em>(Auckland Art Gallery, 2016, co-curator Beatriz Bustos); \u00a0<em>Yang Fudong: Filmscapes<\/em> (Centre for the Moving Image and Auckland Art Gallery, 2014\u201315, co-curator Ulanda Blair), and <em>TransVersa: Artists from Australia and New Zealand<\/em> (Museo de Arte Contempor\u00e1neo, Santiago, Chile, 2006, co-curator Danae Mossman).<\/p>\n<p>Stanhope is commissioning editor of and has contributor to: <em>Ann Shelton: Dark Matter, <\/em>Auckland Art Gallery (2016); <em>The M\u0101ori Portraits: Gottfried Lindauer\u2019s New Zealand<\/em>, co-edited with Ngahiraka Mason, Auckland University Press and Auckland Art Gallery (2016); and collected symposium papers <em>Artmatter 01: Engaging Publics\/Public Engagement<\/em>, Auckland Art Gallery and AUT University, 2014 and <em>Artmatter 2: <\/em><em>Agency and Aesthetics, <\/em>co-edited with Ann Shelton, Auckland Art Gallery and Massey University (2018). She is a regular contributor to art magazines and journals, recently publishing: \u2018Curating APT9: Staying with the Questions\u2019, <em>Art Monthly Australasia,<\/em> iss 313, Summer 2018\u201319: 34\u201339 and \u2018Home Truths: The Politics of Debility in Recent Projects by Shannon Novak\u2019, <em>Art New Zealand<\/em>, iss 68, Summer 2018\u201319: 62\u201365.<\/p>\n<p>Institutional roles Stanhope has held include: Deputy Director and Senior Curator at Heide Museum of Modern Art, Melbourne, Australia (2002\u221208); inaugural Director of Adam Art Gallery, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand (1999\u20132002); and Assistant Director, Monash University Gallery, Melbourne, Australia (1993\u201399).
