Previously, Zimmerman was the Associate Curator of Programs at the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/t.umblr.com\/redirect?z=https%3A%2F%2Fhenryart.org%2F&amp;t=ZGFhMTJjMDA4YWExN2VmOGI5N2Y1NDg4MWQyNWJhNGNhMjUzNTdlNSxUbU4zdWpESg%3D%3D&amp;p=&amp;m=0\">Henry Art Gallery<\/a><span class=\"\">\u00a0and the Associate Curator at the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/t.umblr.com\/redirect?z=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.empac.rpi.edu%2F&amp;t=ZWU2NmFjOTNiMDc3OTRlYjg0MjU0YjhlNGM1YWQyNTNiMDMyNDA5NyxUbU4zdWpESg%3D%3D&amp;p=&amp;m=0\">Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC)\u00a0<\/a><span class=\"\">where she commissioned new work from artists such as Melvin Moti, Ryan &amp; Trevor Oakes, and Gordon Hall. She received the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/t.umblr.com\/redirect?z=http%3A%2F%2Fbricartsmedia.org%2Fcontemporary-art%2Fartist-opportunities%2Flori-ledis-emerging-curator-program&amp;t=ZTgxZmE4YTU1YTE0MzcxYTY3NjFlZDcyNDkwNTg2YTlkNzA5ZWViYixUbU4zdWpESg%3D%3D&amp;p=&amp;m=0\">2011-2012 Loris Ledis Curatorial Fellowship at BRIC Contemporary Art<\/a><span class=\"\">, served as a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/t.umblr.com\/redirect?z=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.residencyunlimited.org%2Fresidencies%2F2013%2F07%2Femily-bercir-zimmerman%2F&amp;t=NjkwMzI2NWQzMzc0ZWY3YWFiMjFkZjQwNTVjMmRkOWU4NDY2MzdkZCxUbU4zdWpESg%3D%3D&amp;p=&amp;m=0\">2013 curator-in-residence at Residency Unlimited<\/a><span class=\"\">, and was awarded funding by the New Foundation Seattle in 2016. She has served on a number of review panels including the National Endowment for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, Artist Trust, 4Culture, and the Herb Alpert Awards.
