\/>His book-length elegy, <em>Gabriel: A Poem<\/em> (2014), which <em>The New Yorker <\/em>calls \u201ca masterpiece of sorrow,\u201d won the National Jewish Book Award for poetry.<\/p>\n<p>He has also published five books of prose, among them, <em>How to Read a Poem and Fall in Love with Poetry<\/em> (1999), a<br \/>\nnational bestseller, and <em>A Poet\u2019s Glossary<\/em> (2014), a full
