Now as Professor Emeritus, he presents science for non-scientists in books (<em>Empire of Light<\/em>, <em>Universal Foam <\/em>and<em> Universal Foam 2.0, Digital People, Hollywood Science, Slow Light, <\/em>and<em> Hollywood Chemistry<\/em>) which have been translated into seven languages and Braille; hardcopy and web articles in the Washington <em>Post<\/em>, <em>Los Angeles<\/em> <em>Times<\/em>, <em>New<\/em> <em>Scientist<\/em>, <em>Leonardo<\/em>, <em>Discover, Encyclopedia Britannica, Aeon, Quo, Los Angeles Review of Books, JSTOR Daily, <\/em>and elsewhere; and theatrical works produced in Atlanta, New York, and Chicago. His latest book <em>Frankenstein 2018<\/em> will be published in 2018, the 200<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of Mary Shelley\u2019s classic story.<\/p>\n<p>He has appeared on CNN, NPR, the BBC and other outlets. He discusses science and art, science in the media, the science of food, and other popular topics at venues such as NASA, Microsoft, the American Museum of Natural History, the High Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the Atlanta Science Festival, and various <em>caf\u00e9 scientifiques<\/em>.
