His work investigates the exchange between art and the everyday \u2013 and the absorption of each into the other. In addition to painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and filmmaking, Miller is a regular contributor to art journals and magazines, teaches at Barnard College, and plays in the artist band The Cornichons.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami will present the first major American survey of his work. Miller has had one-person exhibitions at Museum Ludwig, Cologne; Kunsthalle Zu\u0308rich (accompanied by an extensive catalogue); Mus\u00e9e d\u2019art moderne et contemporain, Geneva; Magasin Centre National d\u2019Art Contemporain, Grenoble, France; and Kunstverein Hamburg. He has participated in major group exhibitions at the New Museum, New York; CAPC Mus\u00e9e D\u2019Art Contemporain, Bordeaux; Museo Reina Sof\u00eda, Madrid; and MoMA PS1, New York. His work was included in the 1991 Whitney Biennial and the 2010 Gwangju Biennale.
