Recent projects include serving as an author and the Managing Editor for the NSF funded report \u201cSteps to an Ecology of Networked Knowledge and Innovation\u201d (2012); an invited contribution on neurological illustration for the<em> History of Neurology, Volume 95: Handbook of Clinical Neurology<\/em> (Elsevier, 2010); serving as the Guest Editor for a nine-article compendium published by the <em>Journal of the History of the Neurosciences: Special Issue on Visual Images and Visualization<\/em> (Taylor &amp; Francis, 2008); and an invited article on \u201cMultiple Discovery\u201d for the <em>Encyclopedia of Creativity<\/em> (Academic Press, 2011). She has published several books, most recently <em>Innovation and Visualization: Trajectories, Strategies, and Myths<\/em> (Rodopi, 2005). Ione has also widely published in the books and journals of several disciplines, including <em>Trends in Cognitive Science<\/em>, <em>Leonardo<\/em>, and the <em>Journal of Consciousness Studies.<\/em> In addition, since 2002, she has served as a core book reviewer for the journal <em>Leonardo<\/em> (MIT Press). Her international lectures on art and science collaboration include invitations from The Qatar Foundation, The Middle Europa Foundation, The Medical Society of London, The Kyoto Institute of Technology, and CogNovo (an EU network that offers research training in Cognitive Innovation).
