While\u00a0the digital archive counter acts as memory and as source for some of his compositions, the recent series &#8220;<\/i><b><i>UNSETTLED LANDSCAPES<\/i><\/b><i>&#8221; of 2013\/14 is a real time investigation into the subject of &#8220;landscape&#8221; via photographic research and refined on the plane of the canvas. Usually working with subjects for a limited time-span, altering and questioning the painting process, his subjects and middle to large size paintings emphasize this contradiction of narrative representation and analytical de-construction. <\/i><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><i>\u00a0<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Invited for a <\/i><b><i>SANTA FE ART INSTITUTE<\/i><\/b><i> residency, Santa Fe, NEW MEXICO, USA in 2013 with the outcome of a photographic book: &#8220;<\/i><b><i>NEW MEXICAN TRAVELS<\/i><\/b><i>&#8220;, 100 pages, 116 photos \/ and works in painting dealing with the conflicts of the North American Landscape of the South West.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>He received a\u00a0<\/i><b><i>fellowship for photography<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a0from the\u00a0<\/i><b><i>Berlin Senate<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a0and took part in national and international site-specific competitions like\u00a0<\/i><b><i>MAXXI Rome<\/i><\/b><i>,\u00a0<\/i><b><i>Sharjah Biennale<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/i><b><i>German Parliament\u00a0<\/i><\/b><i>(Marie Elisabeth L\u00fcders competition).<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>For curatorial \/ research and conference participations he compiled:\u00a0<\/i><b><i>&#8220;BODIES DESIRES<\/i><\/b><i>&#8221; in 2006 for ApexArt NY, &#8220;<\/i><b><i>ON MAPS AND CARTOGRAPHIES<\/i><\/b><i>&#8221; in 2010\/12 for Berlin (not realized due to funding issues) and &#8220;<\/i><b><i>ON SPACE AND NARRATIVE IDENTITY<\/i><\/b><i>&#8221; for\u00a0<\/i><b><i>ISEA \/ Singapore<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a02008 as artist \/ paper presentation \/ funded by IFA\/Stuttgart\/Germany. \u00a0Learn more about his\u00a0<\/i><\/span><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>WORKS \u00a0<\/i><\/b><i><a href=\"http:\/\/klaushu.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">by clicking here<\/a><\/i><i>, <a href=\"http:\/\/klaushu.blogspot.com\/2011\/06\/curatorial-research-site-specific.html\">curatorial work here<\/a><\/i><i><b>.\u00a0<\/b><\/i><\/span>For his <a href=\"http:\/\/klaushu.blogspot.com\/2013\/07\/books-editions.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">books, click here<\/a> and for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/klaushu\/videos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">videos and keynotes, click here<\/a>.
