After studying art history at the University of Vienna she joined the MAK – Austrian Museum of Applied Arts / Contemporary Art in 2006 linking MAK Vienna and MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles as a project manager. Since 2009 she curates exhibitions as well as temporary interventions, performances and discursive events in the field of contemporary art and architecture. With a focus on conceptual, site-specific, research- and time-based art, she is interested in the exhibition as a medium and means of linking complex thoughts through a visual component. She also conceives themed special exhibitions as an independent curator.

Bringing together applied arts, design, architecture, and contemporary art the MAK Vienna, founded in 1864, stands for the fusion of the past with the contemporary. With its extraordinary collection the MAK serves a dual purpose as a conservator of significant objects and as a laboratory for research and artistic production aiming at creating social awareness for various issues of our time.

The MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, founded in 1994, is a contemporary, experimental, multi-disciplinary center for art and architecture. Based in three of the most important houses by the Austrian-American architect Rudolph M. Schindler it presents programming that challenges conventional notions of architectural space and relationships between the creative arts. It also hosts the MAK Artists and Architects-in-Residence Program, an internationally renowned residency program for emerging artists and architects.

24/7 the human condition, Exhibition view, 2015, (works by Ulrich Nausner, Peter Jellitsch, Harm van den Dorpel) MAK Vienna (AT), photo by MAK/Aslan Kudrnofsky

ELSEWHERE.
