She lives and works in New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>Lisa Yuskavage: The Brood<\/i>, a major solo exhibition spanning twenty-five years of the artist\u2019s work, is on view at The Rose Art Museum of Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts (through December 13, 2015), and will travel to the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis\u00a0(January 15 to April 3, 2016).\u00a0The exhibition is accompanied by a large-scale, comprehensive publication by Skira Rizzoli, created in close collaboration with the artist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Yuskavage\u2019s work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at institutions worldwide, most recently at David Zwirner in New York (2015, and also 2011, 2009, and 2006); greengrassi in London (2013, 2010, 2007, 2004, 2002, and 1999); The Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin (organized as part of the Dublin Contemporary 2011); Museo Tamayo Arte Contempor\u00e1neo, Mexico City (2006); Royal Academy of Arts, London (2002); Centre d\u2019Art Contemporain, Geneva (2001); and the Institute of Contemporary Art, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia (2000).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2455 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015-10-13-14.22.18.jpg?resize=225%2C300&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"2015-10-13 14.22.18\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015-10-13-14.22.18.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015-10-13-14.22.18.jpg?resize=768%2C1024&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015-10-13-14.22.18.jpg?resize=624%2C832&amp;ssl=1 624w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015-10-13-14.22.18.jpg?w=1392&amp;ssl=1 1392w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/2015-10-13-14.22.18.jpg?w=2088&amp;ssl=1 2088w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/>Yuskavage has been the recipient of notable awards and honors, including the Temple University Gallery of Success Award (2005); Founder\u2019s Day Certificate of Honor, Tyler School of Art, Temple University (2000); The Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Grant (1995); MacDowell Colony Fellowship (1994); and the Zimtbaum Foundation Fellowship, Fine Arts Work Center, Provincetown, Massachusetts (1986).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Museum collections which hold works by the artist include The Art Institute of Chicago; Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington, D.C.; Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam; Walker Art Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This interview is conducted by\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">Angela Lynn Fraleigh, hosted by Brainard Carey.
