The following year she moved to the United States. Currently, she is Associate Professor of Art History at South Dakota State University\u2019s School of Design.<\/p>\n<p>Her research work addresses issues of modern and contemporary art history with cross-disciplinary interests including the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning, Honors Education, Museum Studies.<\/p>\n<p>She has authored the book <em>l\u2019Iperrealismo \u2018Fotografico\u2019 Americano in Pittura<\/em>. <em>Risonanze storiche nella East e nella West Coast<\/em> (2004), the monograph <em>Conversazioni with Don Eddy-Conversations with Don Edd<\/em>y (2000) and the monograph <em>Leigh Behnke: Real Spaces, Imagined Lives, <\/em><em>with an interview by Jeri Hise<\/em> (2005).<\/p>\n<p>She has been involved in the scholarship of teaching and learning, with articles published in <a href=\"http:\/\/digitalcommons.unl.edu\/cgi\/viewcontent.cgi?article=1127&amp;context=nchchip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>Honors in Practice<\/em>, 2011<\/a> \u00a0and in <a href=\"http:\/\/uncw.edu\/cte\/ET\/articles\/Vol12_1\/Cempellin.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Journal of Effective Teaching<\/em>, 2012<\/a> .<\/p>\n<p>The book <em>l\u2019Iperrealismo \u2018Fotografico\u2019 Americano in Pittura<\/em> has become the ready-made of the <em>Access Denied <\/em>project (2009-2010) involving studio art, art education and graphic design students from different provenance, it has evolved into an exhibition (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nuovamuseologia.it\/archivio\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nuova Museologia, vol. 27, November 2012, pp.5-7<\/a>: ), and later back into cross-disciplinary scholarship (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ijea.org\/v14n9\/v14n9.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>International Journal of Education &amp; the Arts<\/em>, 2013:<\/a> ).<\/p>\n<p>Her most recent research project is centered on world-renowned artist Daniel Spoerri. Part of her interview with the artist on the <em>Giardino<\/em> sculpture garden in Seggiano has appeared in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spoerri.at\/download\/giardinoheft.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">catalogue of the exhibition at the Forum Kunst Rottweil in September-October 2013 <\/a>.\u00a0Her most recent research project, centered on Daniel Spoerri\u2019s <em>Edition MAT <\/em>of multiples in late modern sculpture, has been published in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ibero-publicaciones.com\/arte\/articulo_detalle.php?id_volumen=7&amp;id_articulo=178&amp;pagina=70\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">special issue of <em>Nierika <\/em>in June 2015 <\/a>. Currently, she is working on a monograph on Spoerri, which she plans to publish in the US.<\/p>\n<p>As US correspondent for the Italian art magazine <em>Juliet <\/em>since 2013, she has interviewed several personalities in the art world, including Eleanor Heartney, Hye Yeon Nam, Charles R.
