He has been an artist in residence at Yaddo, MacDowell, the Triangle Arts Foundation, DNA Provincetown, and Skowhegan. His work has been reviewed in <i>Art in America<\/i>, <i>Artforum<\/i>, and the <i>New York Times<\/i>. Drennen served as dean at the Skowhegan School of Painting &amp; Sculpture, teaches at Georgia State University in Atlanta, and manages THE END Project Space.
