She is an emerit<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">@<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">Professor of Video and Critical Studies at Hampshire College. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">In 2020 kara w<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">as<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\"> awarded a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tulsaartistfellowship.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tulsa Artist Fellowship<\/a> and joined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breachadventuresinheterotopia.org\/collaboration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gallery of the Streets<\/a> as a principled artist collaborator. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">Her art practice is re-memory, vision, and movement. It manifests as poetics, process, and conjures autonomy for Black and Indigenous people across Diaspora. Through low-fi, collective practice, and social intervention lynch explores aesthetic\/political relationships between time + space. This artist\u2019s practice is vigilantly raced, classed, and gendered \u2013 Black, Queer and Feminist.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">Major projects include: <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/362834837\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018<\/a><i><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/362834837\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BlackRussians\u2019 <\/a>\u2013 <\/i>a feature documentary video, \u2018<i>The Outing\u2019 \u2013 <\/i>a video travelogue, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YmfM0uGQLko\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YmfM0uGQLko\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>MouhawalaOula\u2019<\/i><\/a> \u2013 a gender-bending trio performance for oriental dance, live video &amp; saxophone; <a href=\"https:\/\/cup.columbia.edu\/book\/we-travel-the-space-ways\/9783837646016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/cup.columbia.edu\/book\/we-travel-the-space-ways\/9783837646016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>We Travel the Space Ways: Black Imagination, Fragments and Diffractions\u2019<\/i><\/a>\u2013 an edited volume of Black Speculation; and the current project, <a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/132129457\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018<\/a><i><a href=\"https:\/\/vimeo.com\/132129457\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">INVISIBLE\u2019 <\/a>\u2013 <\/i>an episodic, speculative, multi-site video\/audio installation that excavates the terror and resilient beauty of the Black-Indigenous experience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Sans, sans-serif;\">Current explorations include: RuleReverse!
