He was trained in African traditional and contemporary dances since his youngest age in the acclaimed company \u201cThe Bourgeon du Burkina.\u201d In September 2000, he co-founded\u00a0\u201cCompagnie T\u00e2\u201d\u00a0with two other choreographers and co-choreographed many dance pieces presented around the world, including one work that was selected as a finalist at the fifth Choreographic Encounters of Africa and Indian Ocean in Madagascar. The piece was then presented at the Great Barbican Center\u00a0in London for a full week event. Compagnie T\u00e2 also collaborated\u00a0with an association of visual artists on\u00a0<em>Genies de la Bastille, Paris.<\/em>\u00a0Willy himself has collaborated with international choreographers and performed in works such as\u00a0<em>Space i Tiempo,<\/em>\u00a0choreographed by Robert Battle (USA) and Gerardo Delgado (Mexico) in Tampico, Mexico; and\u00a0<em>Dole Danle,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>with the French Hip-Hop Company E.Go, directed by Eric Mezzino and Gilles Schamber. In 2007, Willy moved to Los Angeles and joined Baker &amp; Tarpaga Dance Project as an Associate Director, where he co-choreographed and performed\u00a0<em>Arbre D\u2019Adaptation<\/em>\u00a0(2007), which won the Best Choreography award at\u00a0\u201cEmerging Above Ground 07\u201d;\u00a0<em>Sira Kan (2008),<\/em>\u00a0presented at the NOW Festival 08; and \u201c<em>Dar Es Salaam\u201d\u00a0<\/em>(2009).<\/p>\n<p>Willy has collaborated with many local artists and companies, including Maria Gillespie (<em>Exquisite Corps 2010),<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>Victoria Marks (<em>Smallest Gesture\/Grandest frame; Medium big inefficient considerably imbalanced dance; Solar Duplex &amp; Watch This)<\/em>,<em>\u00a0<\/em>Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre Company\u00a0<em>(Governing Bodies; Expulsion; Governing Bodies Ventura; Cleopatra; Catch your Breath)<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>and Viver Brasil<em>\u00a0<\/em>Dance Company\u00a0<em>(Xire 2008).<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>He choreographed and produced the dance film\u00a0<em>Bayiiri (Home Town)\u00a0<\/em>in 2011. In 2014, his solo\u00a0<em>\u201cSaana\/The foreigner\u201d<\/em>\u00a0is premiered at the Redcat NOW Festival and the Ethna Negria Celebration at Teatro Balboa in Panama City May 2015.\u00a0<em>\u201cUnarmed\u201d<\/em>, a piece about social injustice,\u00a0was presented at the Barnsdall Theater, at \u201cFor Our Boys\u201d first edition.<\/p>\n<p>In August 2016 he created\u00a0<em>On Becoming,<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>a quest for identity at 12<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0edition of NOW Festival. On October of the same year, his last two works\u00a0<em>Tekre (Evolution)<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0<em>Maam \/Me<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em>were presented at the third Edition of the festival Africa in America at the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre.
