One door opens the next which opens the next, and so on. Sometimes what seems like a modest opportunity can turn into the first step on a much larger journey. Exhibiting your work is the very best way to create new opportunity for yourself. Praxis student Gregory found this out not long ago and its a lesson that is continuing to pay dividends. In his own words:

“Hello Brainard Carey and other amazing Praxis people, I just wanted to say thank you for the video on approaching Nonprofit Organizations. At the beginning of the year, I got the opportunity to show my work in a Nonprofit Theatre company in a local town near me. Now the county library saw my work and wants my work to be displayed in the library. It’s amazing how taking a risk and showing your work for a nonprofit can lead to other venues. Now I am donating an art piece for Theatre Company’s silent fundraising auction. So excited about the opportunity that is out there. I hope this inspires others to approach local nonprofits to show your work. Thank you so much Brainard Carey.“

Praxis Center prides itself on bringing awareness to opportunities of all kinds.
