It\u2019s OK to embrace curiosity, ask better questions, and make space for growth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/interviews\/michele-abramowitz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Michele Abramowitz<\/a> sat down to talk about her show,\u00a0<em>The Intermediate Reals<\/em>, on view at Kate Werble Gallery until June 28. The title is derived from the book\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/53438794-mordew\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Mordew<\/em><\/a> by Alex Pheby, in which magic wielders use \u201cintermediate realms\u201d in which they can create realities of their choosing, so to speak. These cognitive realms echo paintings, in a sense. The title is a short excerpt from\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.goodreads.com\/book\/show\/61049.Autobiography_of_Red\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Autobiography of Red<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>by Anne Carson. For Nguyen, this spoke to his habit of ruminating on the dark and often drawing pictures that take place in the dark. Returning to this phrase over and over again, he knew it needed to be the title for this show.
