A new year brings the opportunity for new beginnings. But it is important not to expect a full rewrite of your entire life. Committing to working\u00a0toward<\/em> a few healthy shifts is one thing, deciding firmly that this is the year you turn on a dime day one and reset your course is nothing more than an invitation to fail. Humans are creatures of habit, and psychology and behavioral science tell us that it takes time to reshape those habits. So give yourself some grace, and do not expect a new year miracle.
