Watershed\u2019s<\/a> summer residencies provide artists dedicated time in a state-of-the-art ceramics studio. Up to sixteen artists form a creative community during sessions, enjoying 24-hour studio access, comfortable accommodations, and meals. Organizers develop themes, inviting artists to anchor sessions. South Arts offers Individual Artist Career Opportunity Grants<\/a> to support milestone opportunities in artists\u2019 careers, aiming to overcome financial barriers. Grants of up to $2,000 are available for proposed or completed opportunities between July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024. Recipients can still apply for other South Arts funding. Mother\u2019s Milk<\/a> is a flexible 2 to 6-week interdisciplinary residency supporting visual artists, writers, composers, and dancers pursuing innovative, experimental work. Located in a renovated dairy farm on 15 wooded acres in Newton, Kansas, the program fosters collaboration and provides a serene space for creative exploration.
