It\u2019s nature\u2019s last hurrah before the dormancy of winter. No matter where you are, there are always times when the rhythm of things slows. But that doesn\u2019t mean you have to! While it\u2019s important to give yourself time to rest and recharge, as a career artist, it is also up to you to have your next opportunities lined up at all times. If you know where to look, finding opportunities becomes a matter of routine rather than something to be feared and dreaded. And while you won\u2019t land every one you attempt, it\u2019s important to keep trying because the very act of putting yourself out there is beneficial in so many ways.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.airgallery.org\/fellowship-program-2024-2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The A.I.R. Fellowship Program<\/a> invites underrepresented and emerging women and non-binary artists to apply. Six artists are selected for a year-long fellowship to develop and exhibit at A.I.R. Gallery. Residential fellowships allow for full-time research in the Smithsonian collections as part of the oldest and largest program of its kind in the world.
