\"\"Michael Polakowski<\/a> is a painter based in Detroit, MI. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, most recently at Oever Gallery<\/i> in Oostende, BE, in the two-person show \u2018Near\/Far\u2019<\/i>. In January 2023, his solo show \u2018Anywhere and Here\u2019<\/i> was mounted at Thinkspace Projects<\/i>, Los Angeles, CA. Other notable exhibitions include the group shows \u2018Potluck\u2019<\/i> at Hashimoto Contemporary<\/i>, Los Angeles, CA; \u2018LAX \/ AMS\u2019<\/i> at Thinkspace Projects, Amsterdam, NL; \u2018Voyage\u2019<\/i> at Nothing at All<\/i>, Sheung Wan, HK; \u2018Get Together\u2019 at Reyes Finn<\/i>, Detroit, MI; and \u2018Pet Peeves\u2019<\/i> at 5-50 Gallery<\/i>, NYC\u2028\u2028. Polakowski was awarded the Red Bull House of Art<\/i> Residency<\/i> in the fall of 2019. He recently completed a mural in collaboration with the Detroit Institute of Arts<\/i> as a part of their Partners in Public Art Program and has participated in Murals in the Market<\/i> and Bright Walls Mural Festival.<\/i> His works have been featured by publications like Juxtapoz<\/i>, Booooooom<\/i> and ArtMaze Magazine<\/i>.<\/p>\n

Polakowski\u2019s work is currently on view at 5-50 Gallery<\/i> in New York City, in the two-person show \u2018Back In 5\u2019, alongside paintings by Ivan Montoya. \u2018Back in 5\u2019 is on view through the 8th of October.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
