Deborah Kennedy<\/a> is a writer and artist who focuses on ecological themes. In her recent book–Nature Speaks: Art and Poetry for the Earth<\/i><\/a>—Kennedy combines provocative poetry and earth-toned illustrations that capture the bond between ourselves and the larger natural world. Nature Speaks: Art and Poetry for the Earth <\/i>is the winner of two national poetry book awards— a Silver Nautilus Book Award and an Eric Hoffer Book Award.   <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Kennedy’s art exhibitions include numerous solo and group shows in the United States and Europe that feature art and installations focusing on environmental and social themes.<\/p>\n

She is noted for creating large-scale installations on the Berlin Wall six months before it was torn down. The Berlin Wall works were featured in books and newspapers in Germany and the United States.<\/p>\n

Her body of work has been widely reviewed and she has received numerous grants and awards from art councils and museums.  <\/span>Kennedy presents slide shows and poetry readings to environmental, poetry, and other interested groups.<\/p>\n
