Building a career in art can feel like a daunting task. But with the right tools and skills, you can absolutely turn your passion into something more. The good news is that you don’t have to do it alone. In fact, you\u00a0shouldn’t<\/em> pursue a career in the art world in a vacuum. A basic component of success for all artists is the ability to engage with the world around you. Whether that means networking, pursuing further education or discovering opportunities to advance your career, a successful artist is the one who continually finds ways to expand and evolve.<\/p>\n

Artists are invited to submit their work to the 14th Annual Plaktivat<\/a> poster design contest. This year’s theme is\u00a0Discrimination and I<\/em>. In their own words:<\/p>\n

“We all often act in a discriminatory way. The creative solution should challenge individuals to consider whether they themselves ever acted in a discriminatory way. We want individuals of both genders to potentially see themselves in one of the situations on the poster and carefully consider their future actions, mindful not to encroach upon someone else\u2019s fundamental human rights.<\/em>”<\/p>\n

Maajaam<\/a> invites artists to submit work for consideration for\u00a0Wild Bits<\/em>. In their own words:<\/p>\n

“The project Wild Bits<\/strong>\u00a0is an exhibition concept that proposes a temporary art park in the wilderness. The exhibition looks for points of contact between people, technology and nature. The technological art installations consisting of sounds, lights, texts, sculptures or their online counterparts are placed in natural spaces like forests, fields, swamps and lakes.<\/em>”<\/p>\n

The Kitzb\u00fcheler Ski Club and the BTV<\/a> are accepting submissions for poster design for their annual Hahnenkamm Ski Races in 2023. The tradition of having poster designs by independent artists began in 1987. This year, the competition is open to international artists with the intent of bringing this event to the world stage.
