She is the author of\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2018\/11\/17\/668233789\/death-and-other-holidays-is-a-perfect-literary-break\">Death and Other Holidays<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(Melville House Press, 2018), winner of the inaugural Miami Book Fair\/de Groot Prize for the Novella and translated into French\u00a0 as\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.editionsdo.fr\/la-mort-et-autres-jours-de-fete\">La Mort et autres jours de f\u00eate<\/a><\/em>\u00a0(\u00c9ditions do, 2020). Her debut poetry collection,\u00a0<em>At the Border of Wilshire &amp; Nobody<\/em>, was awarded the inaugural Howling Bird Press Poetry Prize and selected for musical score by Brazilian composer, Renato Goulart.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-11823 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/authorsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/typewriters-rotated.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/authorsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/typewriters-rotated-1.jpg 225w, https:\/\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/authorsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/typewriters-rotated-2.jpg 315w, https:\/\/museumofnonvisibleart.com\/authorsite\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/typewriters-rotated-3.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/>The recipient of a Willis Barnstone Translation Prize,\u00a0Vogel&#8217;s\u00a0poetry, prose, translations, and cross-genre inventions have appeared in\u00a0such publications as\u00a0<em>ZYZZYVA<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Seneca Review<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Waxwing<\/em>, and\u00a0<em>Jacket2<\/em>, and include the translation-focused commentary series\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/jacket2.org\/commentary\/welcoming-%C3%A9trang%C3%A8re\">A Poetics of the \u00c9trang\u00e8re<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0Vogel&#8217;s writing has been recognized with grants and residencies by the Fondation T\u00e9not, the Napa Valley Writer&#8217;s Conference, the Community of Writers, and North Street Collective.
