Sutthirat seeks to cultivate freedom of expression through her art practice.<\/p>\n<p>As a visual artist among the art community in Chiang Mai, she has participated in the founding and operation of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/cmartconversation\">CAC &ndash; Chiangmai Art Conversation<\/a>&nbsp;since 2013. She was a director of Asian Culture Station (ACS) in the year 2016-2019 when CAC partnered with the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/jfac.jp\/en\/\">Japan Foundation Asia Center Tokyo<\/a>&nbsp;to establish the project. CAC aims to promote contemporary art in Chiang Mai while ACS activated Asian culture and its network. Sutthirat earned a BFA in painting from the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.finearts.cmu.ac.th\/en\/\">Faculty of Fine Arts at Chiang Mai University<\/a>&nbsp;and a postgraduate diploma in Media Arts from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hgb-leipzig.de\/\">Hochschule Fuer Grafik und Buchkunst<\/a>&nbsp;in Leipzig, Germany. She is a 2005&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ips.org\/institutional\/imaging-our-mekong-media-fellowships\/\">Imaging Our Mekong<\/a>&nbsp;media fellowship and a 2010&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.asianculturalcouncil.org\/\">Asian Cultural Council<\/a>&nbsp;fellowship at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/iscp-nyc.org\/\">International Studio &amp; Curatorial Program&nbsp;<\/a>&ndash; ISCP in New York City. She was selected to participate in the International Creator Residency Program at the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tokyo-ws.org\/english\/residency\/index.html\">Tokyo Wonder Site<\/a>&nbsp;Aoyama in 2012,&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.stiftung-kuenstlerdorf.de\/\">Foundation K&uuml;nstlerdorf Sch&ouml;ppingen<\/a>, NRW, Germany in 2013 and&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/asianz.org.nz\/our-work\/arts-and-community\/opportunities\/artist-residence-exchanges\/ware\">Wellington Asia Residency Exchange<\/a>, New Zealand in 2015. She was nominated for the<a href=\"http:\/\/prudentialeyeawards.com\/\">&nbsp;Prudential Eye Awards 2016<\/a>&nbsp;shortlist in &lsquo;Best Emerging Artist Using Digital\/Video&rsquo;, Singapore.
